Hello Wake County EMS, I am writing to inform you of what I believe to have been an abuse of power of using an emergency vehicle to enter into an occupied lane of the highway, this occurred on I-87 the merging lane of exit 3 for I-440W. License plate #: 23653-W engaged in this dangerous behavior at approximately 6:35 PM. Prior to and up to this point for at least 5 miles as I was next to the ambulance the emergency lights were not turned on. After the EMS vehicle tried to force its way into the lane to make the lane change but had no room they decided to then use their emergency lights in order to enter the lane out of spite for the driver protecting their space. I believe an investigation will conclude that the driver acted in a retaliatory way resulting in an abuse of power with the emergency lights. The timing of the incident was all too perfect.
